Apnea Academy Level 1 (Pool & Openwater Component)
Duration: 2 DAYS - RECOMMENDED INTAKE

Begin your freediving journey, with Apnea Academy Level 1 course. It is the course that focus on the mastery of techniques at the same time, to enjoy the sensation of apnea using breathing, relaxation and mental techniques.

The objective of the Level 1 Apnea Academy course is to instruct students to a satisfactory level of ability in underwater apnea.  At the same time preparing students for freediving openwater with equalization and depth training. How to freedive safely and with awareness in order to enjoy themselves underwater.

Prerequisites:
16 years of age; Comfortable swimming

Youth:
10-16 years with parental consent

  • 8m Constant Weight Depth (Max 20m)

Upon Passing Requirements, Student will Recieve:

Apnea Academy Level 2

The objective of the Level 2 Apnea Academy course is to complete the formation of apneists who already have a base level of ability. 

The course provides the Freediver with the necessary training skills and knowledge so they know how to improve themselves. Advance equalization Frenzel instructions from Andrea Zucarri will be taught. The techniques will help the Freediver progressively improve in relaxation, breath hold, distance, and depth. The techniques taught in this course will allow a Freediver to dive pass 20-30m, breathhold of at least 2’30”, dynamic at least 55m.

Level 2 also focuses on mental & relaxation techniques.

Entry fee: $650
Prerequisites: Level1 Certification, 16 years of age, comfortable swimming, signed medical statement and liability release form.

To prepare for deep dives past 20m, you will learn:

  • Pranayama Breath Work

  • Stretching for Thoracic Mobility

  • Advanced Frenzel Equalization using Andrea Zuccari’s System

To help you design your own training for static, dynamic or depth, you will learn:

  • Energetic Systems

  • Finstroke Analysis

  • Training Methods

Passing Requirements:

  • Static Apnea of 2’30’’

  • Dynamic with fins of 55 m

  • Dynamic no fins 35 m

  • Constant weight 15-25m


Rough Outline (4 days):

  • AA2 Theory + Quiz

  • Pranayama, Breathwork & Advance Stretches for deep dives

  • Advance Frenzel Equalization

  • Pool1 Techniques & Assessment

Apnea Academy Level 3°

Apnea Academy Level 3 Freediver course verifies the aquaticity and base techniques of apnea of the student. The course will begin in Singapore. Sessions will be personalized to allow each student to work at their own potential.
 

Mouthfill equalization, monofin work, mental training for deeper and longer dives will be covered. The depth requirement will be done overseas on separate cost.  Techniques learnt will easily bring a Freediver to depth pass 30m.

At the end of the course, the student will apply the techniques and would be able to perform requirements  of a static apnea at least 3'00" and  70m dynamic apnea and 25-35m constant weight. This course entitles you to an international recognizabled Apnea Academy Level 3 certification.

Apnea Academy ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR

The Apnea Academy Assistant course is a possibility given to students to increase the experience and provides an apprenticeship for students who wish to become AA Instructor.
 

Requirements for qualification as an AA Assistant are:

•    A certificate in first aid training

•     Competent performance of all Level 1, 2 and 3 exercises

•     Static apnea performance of at least 4’30”

•    Dynamic apnea performance of at least 80 to 100 meters

•     Constant weight dive to at least -30 to 40 meters

•    Experience as staff during AA courses

We offer frenzel equalization clinic for students with equalization problems, troubleshooting and offering solution practice to improve frenzel technique.
Having taught equalizations to hundreds of students, and learning from equalization masters like Andrea Zuccari/Umberto Pelizzari/Stefan Randig. We can help analyze your mistakes, and give feedback to improve your equalization.

We offer a comprehensive beginner mermaid course.
As it bring a beginner from his/her first step in becoming a mermaid.
Undergoing structured learning and mermaid skills, underwater movements and tricks.

Introduction to Freediving (Discovery)

The aim of this introductory course is to give all lovers of the sea the opportunity to experience freediving in a safe and enjoyable way. The aim is to promote a positive mental approach to the discipline that will allow the student to experience the well-being associated with apnea.

AIDA1 Certificate will be issued.

An Introduction certification is not a compulsory certification to enroll into a AA level 1 / AIDA2 course.
Students are advised to proceed directly to a AA Level1 or AIDA2 course.
